IPA-ALT
PRODUCT INFORMATION
IPA-ALT is an additive for the fountain solution mixture, to be used
in place of IPA.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Has characteristics similar to IPA (Isopropanol)
- Compatible for use with all types of alcohol dampening systems
- Replenishment will be required to maintain the level of IPA-ALT
in mixed solution
DIRECTION FOR USE
- IPA-ALT is recommended for dosing of 6% – 8% under ideal press conditions
- Dilution may be altered to suit the requirements of the press, substrate type, inks and other variables
- Always ensure that IPA-ALT is added to the mixed fount solution and not to the concentrated fount
- Chilling and on-line replenishment are recommended to ensure consistency of performance and to prevent evaporation loss
STORAGE, CARE & PACKING INSTRUCTION
Storage & Care :- Store at moderate temperatures in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep
away from sources of heat, sparks, open flames and static
electricity. Keep the containers tightly closed; when not in use. The
use of gloves is recommended.
Shelf-life :- 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Packing :- 25 & 200 Liters.
Precautions :- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Refer to MSDS for safe storage
and handling.

IPA-ALT XTRA is an additive for the fountain solution mixture, to
be used in place of IPA.

AlcoFIZ
PRODUCT INFORMATION
- AlcoFIZ is a unique fountain solution additive that eliminates the need to use IPA/ lsopropanol in the dampening systems. It is recommended for those committed to alcohol-free pressroom. For optimum performance, BluNova recommends using AlcoFIZ with MAI-G fountain solution.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Low hazard additive, with high flash point of 60°C
- Eliminates the need of replenishment, which leads to reduced vapours in the pressroom
- Works well between 2% to 3% dosage, as against 6% to 12% of IPA, making it more cost effective
- AlcoFIZ can be used on presses not equipped with chilling units
- The low dosage of AlcoFIZ helps improve gloss when compared to IPA
DIRECTION FOR USE
- AlcoFIZ should be added to the ready-to-use of fountain solution mixture. Ideally, the optimum dilution is determined by building up the concentration by starting with a minimum dilution of 1 % up to a maximum of 4%. Overdosing of AlcoFIZ should be prevented since this may cause image wear and related printing problems.
